Eriksbergs Crane Extension

The extension to the buck crane will create contrast between the strict form of the crane and the organic form of the addition, paying tribute to the historic value of the crane while elevating its present value. The design concept is centered around the keyword movement where the constant changing curvature in the design creates unique circulation paths and connections between spaces that does not seem obvious at first glance.

The project is a part of the Public Building course where form exploration and experimental designs are key aspects.
